I need a resolution that involves keeping this controller and downloading the Kontrol Software, legally. Having unrelated software (ie Komplete instruments) be linked to a hardware serial (and ultimately the Kontrol software ONLY USABLE BY THE HARDWARE) is completely asinine. I need the Komplete Kontrol software, one way or another.

Are NI customers not allowed to buy used hardware? Is it NI's policy to 'just ask for a refund' as I was told by the rep on the phone?

It's hard to believe that a company like Native Instruments wouldn't offer the ability to purchase the software independently for this exact situation. I want to give NI my money because the products are fantastic. I don't mind paying for the software, I just want this thing to work. Wouldn't running Native Access not give me the ability to see/download Komplete Kontrol? Forget that I already own Komplete 9 Ultimate and that the S25 MK1 came out during this cycle of Komplete. Is there not a way to just purchase the Komplete Kontrol software individually? I bought the controller at a used price, so I would be completely fine paying for the one plugin.
